These instructions apply to all RC4 Series 3 Harmonized Design devices with firmware versions 4.071 / 2-71-x.x or later. Applicable devices include:
- RC4Magic Series 3 and RC4Magic-900 DMX2dim, DMX4dim, DMX4dim-500
- LumenDim4, LumenDimM4
- W-DIM4, W-DIMm3
Digital Persistence period selection is a Long-Press Button Feature,and the selected period is confirmed using Patterns of Two LEDs. These are described in detail in http://rc4.info/s3-ui-nomenclature/.
To cycle through available Digital Persistence Periods:
- Ensure live DMX data is streaming in by either wire (miniplug input) or wireless.
If DMX data is not streaming, the Set buttons act as dimmer bump buttons only.
- Long-Press SetC.
- When the LED blink pattern appears, release SetC. The persistence period is now advanced to the next value, applied to all dimmers on the device, and saved.
The LED blink pattern indicates the period as outlined below. Each long-press of SetC advances to the next option. Advancing from the last option returns to the first option:
|Option 0: Persistence Disabled||DimA||●||●||●|
|Option 1: Very Fast||DimA||●||●|
|Option 2: Fast||DimA||●||●|
|Option 3: Medium Fast||DimA||●|
|Option 4: Medium (default)||DimA||●||●|
|Option 5: Medium Slow||DimA||●|
|Option 6: Slow||DimA||●|
|Option 7: Very Slow||DimA|
Test Digital Persistence response by bumping the DMX level between 0% and 100%. This is best done with a bump button or direct text command on your console.
