Dimmer Bump Buttons for Testing Without a Transmitter (LumenDimM4)

I. All RC4 Series 3 Harmonized Design dimmer devices revert to bump button modeBump button modeWhen an RC4 Wireless Series 3 dimmer does not see a DMX data input, the Set buttons operate as bump buttons.  This is called bump button mode.

A. This is useful for testing a dimmer when no transmitter or DMX data source is available.

B. In a LumenRadio CRMX system, DMX data stops streaming if any of these conditions are met:

1. The receiver device is not paired to a transmitter and the blue RF indicator on the RC4 receiver device is off

2. The paired transmitter is not powered on or is out of range and the blue RF indicator on the RC4 device is blinking continuously

3. The paired transmitter is powered on, no DMX data is present at the transmitter input, and the RF indicator on the RC4 is on with short blips off

II. Un-pairing a LumenDimM4 from any transmitter it may have been paired to

A. Using a small tool like a paper clip, hold down the RF button for several seconds

B. The blue LED will turn off, indicating the device is no longer paired to the transmitter

III. When there is no streaming DMX data to a LumenDim device, all Set buttonSet buttonAll RC4 dimmers have a Set button for each individual dimmer output.  On a 2-channel device, these are SetA and SetB.  A 4-channel device adds SetC and SetD. B. Bump Button Mode is only engaged when there is NO streaming DMX

1. If a dimmer output does not come on or stays on after releasing a bump button, DMX data is streaming and the Set buttons are not in bump button mode
