Select a System ID on an RC4Magic DMX2dim

I. Setting the System ID on all RC4Magic 3-button devices is the same procedure

A. This applies to 2.4GHz RC4Magic Series 2 and Series 3 systems (purple label) and 900MHz RC4Magic-900 (blue label) systems

A. ID 3, the Public ID , is accessed by holding the ID 0 button ID 0 and the ID 1 button  together

B. 3-button devices do not provide access to ID 2 using the buttons.  ID2 can be selected using RC4MagicPC software and a wireless Dongle device

II. At power up, a pattern of LED blinks indicates the currently selected System ID.

A. In this example, the yellow LED blinks several times by itself, indicating  ID 0

III. Example: Setting  ID 1 on an RC4Magic DMXmrx

A. Start with power removed, the device must be off

B. Using a small tool like a bent paper clip, press and hold the ID 1 button

C. Apply power the unit while holding the button

D. The green LED will blink several times by itself

E. This confirms ID 1

IV. To set ID 3 (the shared Public ID)

A. Start with power removed, the device must be off

B. Press and hold both the ID 0 and the ID 1 button at the same time

C. Apply power while both buttons are held down

D. The yellow and green LEDs will toggle back and forth several times indicating ID3 (Public) has been selected

V. Use the same process to restore to ID 0

A.Start with power removed, the device must be off

A. press and hold ID 0 button

B. Apply power the unit with the button held down

C. The yellow LED will blink several times by itself

D. This confirms ID 0

V.I For most users, ID 0 is preferred

A. Each ID supports a separate wireless dmx universe. A separate DMXio transmitter is required for each separate wireless DMX universe
